Ben Chang

Managing Director

Ben has over 20 years of investment banking and private equity investment experience. In that period of time, he has completed over 60 transactions aggregating nearly $1 billion in value. Prior to joining Consilium Partners, Ben was also the Founder and Managing Principal of Wellfleet Capital Partners, a healthcare-focused merchant bank that partners with management teams in making control and growth capital investments. During this time, Ben has been a director or investor in 10 companies. Ben has assisted companies in a number of industries—including healthcare services, flavor technologies, business services, consumer products, and niche manufacturers and distributors—with private placements, M&A activities and public offerings.

Ben’s prior experience includes serving as a Senior Healthcare Investment Banker at Advest, Inc., a major regional investment banking firm, an Associate at Ferris, Baker Watts, and with the Security Pacific Merchant Bank. He has served as a Director of Microchem Corp., Summit Service Group, Inc., Fabreeka International, Inc. and Buyrite Designs, Inc., is a member of the Brookline, Massachusetts School Committee and is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. Ben received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University and an MBA in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He holds the FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses.
